Alarm Clock
BEEP BEEP BEEP
The alarm clock rings
With eyes still swollen
I gave a good ol’ yawn
And went back to sleep
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Dreaming of our first date
Nervous yet excited
Going out with the girl
The blew me away
From the first moment I saw her
BEEP BEEP BEEP
We went to the restaurant
And sat next to the window
A splendid view accompanied
By a splendid meal
Of laughter, joy and love
BEEP BEEP BEEP
We walked around the area
To kill some time we spared
Before the moment arrives
For the movie that makes
The cinema fill with smiles
BEEP BEEP BEEP
A popcorn bucket so full
We were really such fools
To buy one we did not know
Though price was such a haul
It was worth a try after all
BEEP BEEP BEEP
We left the cinema with
Giggles and lots of ‘HAHA’
But it’s time to go
And finally be apart
As we each went our separate ways

I finally woke up
With a smile on my face
My hands still
Clinging onto hers
I too see the smile
On her face
The one that blew me away
